4 Tips To Protect Your Business This Hurricane Season

4 Tips To Protect Your Business This Hurricane SeasonPresented by Lee Area Networks

1. Batteries- If you attach your computers and other critical electronics to battery backups, they can keep working even in a power outage. If you already have battery backups, make sure the batteries are still good.

2. Data Backup- Having important data back up to an external device on a regular basis is crucial. Also, a backup is only good if it’s accessible. So, with disasters in mind we also recommend keeping a backup offsite.

3. Equipment Location- Always keeps your electronics in a well ventilated area above the ground. This will prevent them from over heating, and reduces the risk of being exposed to water that may surge in.

4 .Disaster Plan- Plan ahead, figure out what to do with your technology when a hurricane approaches and how to stay in business after one strikes. Your goal is to minimize down time and return to work quickly.

Think About It…

Every minute that you spend planning ahead, could mean hours or days of up time during a disaster. Preparation is essential to stay in business during a natural disaster.
